Located close to Davies Symphony Hall in the heart of San Francisco, AgeSong at Hayes Valley is a beautifully restored Victorian that honors the traditions of old San Francisco while meeting the current needs of elders. The common areas, including a public restaurant, patio, library, and living rooms, are all designed to support residents' connection with the larger community.
AgeSong at Hayes Valley is owned by AgeSong Institute, the elder care program of Pacific Institute, a Bay Area non-profit organization serving high needs residents such as those with dementia or Alzheimer's disease (which we call forgetfulness) through care, education, and research. Specialized programs for forgetfulness care, behavioral health, hospice, and transitional care coordination allow those with complex physical and cognitive needs to remain in residential settings and/or to improve and return to more independent living.
For over a decade, AgeSong and AgeSong Institute's gero-wellness and internship programs have joined psychology and social science interns, staff, and residents to create a truly intergenerational exchange.
